Day 01c Germany-Ulm

Our last stop of the day was Ulm. It is not listed on the Romantic Road, but nonetheless worth a stop for the impressive Ulm Munster, the tallest church in the world, and the brilliantly coloured murals that adorned the walls of the Rathaus. Also worthnotely is a walk along the famous Danube River and the Fischerviertel (fishermen's quarter) on the River Blau, with half-timbered houses, cobblestone streets, and picturesque footbridges.

Ulm is about two hours drive (200km) from Rothenburg and we spent about an hour walking round the main sights of the city. Thereafter we drove to Augsburg for the night.
